"Dovetail Design and Construction was recommended to us for the remodel of our home and we had John come over to the house to look at the job. After our initial meeting with him and a look at some of his work, we were very confident with him from the start.

We liked his ideas and approach. We liked the fact that he did his own woodwork (at which he is a master) and electrical. He knows the best subcontractors (especially plumbing and painting!) He’s got a great sense of humor and is easy to get along with. What we appreciated was his flexibility as we got into the project. Sometimes we came up with changes to the plan and John was more than willing to incorporate them. He also came up with several ideas that were not in the original plan but were really great improvements.

We were also impressed with his punctuality. He didn’t have ten other jobs going simultaneously. He didn’t leave us high and dry for days (or weeks) at a time. He was almost always on the job himself, or checked in frequently. He always answered his phone and was available. Last, but certainly not least, was his pricing. Not the highest, not the lowest, but always completely fair. We got our money’s worth and then some.
